Creative Dance for Children

Creative Dance inspires the imagination through movement using music, props, textures and sounds. Creative Dance is a fun and inspiring way to keep young bodies fit and strong. Yoga is integrated in each dance class so the children develop an understanding of postures, mindfulness and relaxation.

Our classes are designed for children from 2 years to young adults, non gender specific and inclusive of all abilities.

A Few Points

A few points to make the classes a valuable and safe experience for everyone.

  • Children should wear comfortable clothing (no jeans please, bare feet).

  • Please take them to the toilet on arrival to avoid anxiety.

  • 2 year old class adults need to actively participate with their child (please chatter with other parents after class).

  • Please be punctual this allows children to feel relaxed and settled in easily.

  • Images (moving or stills) may be taken during the class and used for promotional purposes.

Let us teach little children to breathe, to vibrate, to feel, and to become one with the general harmony and movement of nature. Let us produce a beautiful human being, a dancing child.

29 years ago Mangala mothers and babes classes became a beautiful part of my son’s life and mine. I took my son to classes for years. Monday he married his love. There is so much music in their lives and dancing.
— Meryl Naismith
Mangala has played a large part in the growth and development of my son. He learned to express himself through movement at Mangala and I see this come out in his daily life. He learned poise and found self respect.
